Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain production customers’ cloud applications and hosting infrastructure.
- Build scripts and automation for routine operations and incident response.
- Handle cloud application deployment processes and automate software deployment in coordination with DevOps engineers.
- Monitor, tune, maintain, and support Linux, Azure SQL, Kubernetes, Kafka, MongoDB, and other cloud infrastructure services.
- Define, measure, and meet operational metrics for performance, incidents, capacity, and availability.
- Lead incident resolution and coordinate with other departments as needed.
- Build lifecycle processes that mitigate risk and keep platforms current.
- Complete small to medium-sized infrastructure and cloud operations projects independently.
- Provide guidance to entry-level and junior engineers, document work, and roll out new technologies across production environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2–3 years of experience as a CloudOps Engineer, Systems Engineer, or DevOps Engineer.
- At least 2 years of experience with Microsoft Azure or another public cloud platform.
- Experience with automation or configuration management using Docker, Chef, Terraform, or an equivalent tool.
- Hands-on coding and scripting experience with Java, Python, Bash, Perl, and/or Ruby.
- Strong distributed-systems knowledge and services implementation or operations experience.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins.
- Knowledge of collecting distributed logs and events and automating event-based triggers using Elastic Stack or similar tools.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Hands-on Azure Cloud services experience and ELK Stack and Kubernetes experience are preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, prioritization, planning, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
