Base Salary
$160k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop perception models that detect and classify targets with error rates below 1/100.
- Deploy and optimize perception models on Jetson Orin and similar edge hardware for better-than-realtime performance.
- Train large foundation models for assisted data labeling and build tooling across labeling, simulation, and the broader perception stack.
- Generate and scale datasets using simulation, diffusion, generative AI, and other state-of-the-art techniques.
- Create highly optimized models and inference software that maximize frames per second on edge hardware.
- Collaborate with hardware, sensor, tracking, autonomy, and testing teams for on-site DoD testing and demonstrations.
Requirements
- MS or PhD in Computer Engineering, Robotic Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent, or 5+ years of relevant experience with simulation, machine learning, and ML infrastructure.
- Proficiency training machine-learning models in PyTorch on multi-machine, multi-GPU systems.
- Experience optimizing and deploying machine-learning models to edge devices.
- Strong experience with agentic coding and proven Python and/or C++ skills.
- Experience using AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
- Ability to develop remotely, process large datasets, and learn new software and algorithms with limited supervision.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include a PhD with strong academic contributions, five-plus years building and deploying perception models on real-world hardware, and experience with Unreal Engine, NVIDIA Omniverse, Blender, Transformer optimization, Software-in-the-Loop, Hardware-in-the-Loop, NVIDIA Jetson, or Raspberry Pi 5.

- Travel is typically 2–5 days every other month, estimated at 10–20%, for software/hardware integration and demonstrations.
