Base Salary
$152k - $229k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop expertise in Shield AI’s autonomy stack and integrate multi-agent systems across simulation, hardware-in-the-loop, and flight environments.
- Integrate autonomy algorithms, perception pipelines, middleware, and platform interfaces into the product.
- Lead autonomy software bring-up and validation on new robotic hardware platforms.
- Configure sensor drivers, communication interfaces, and platform adapters for prototype and production vehicles.
- Architect and implement integration frameworks, deployment scripts, and configuration management tools.
- Ensure cross-platform compatibility and resolve integration issues across system boundaries.
- Analyze logs, telemetry, and rosbag data to identify root causes and drive defect resolution.
- Improve integration pipelines, define integration checkpoints, and validate release readiness.
- Verify that integrated capabilities meet product requirements and interface specifications.
Requirements
- Typically requires 7 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a master’s degree, or 4 years with a PhD in computer science, computer engineering, robotics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python or C++.
- Experience with autonomous systems, server applications, or middleware.
- Experience designing integration workflows, communicating system dependencies, and triaging integration defects across subsystem boundaries.
- Proficiency with simulation tools and hardware-in-the-loop testing environments.
- Strong expertise with CI/CD pipelines and a record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, including presenting to customers or technical leadership.
- Preferred qualifications include complex systems and software architecture experience, hardware or embedded-systems experience, expert Python knowledge, ROS experience, white-box testing, networking, operating-system and radio-communications familiarity, and automated testing-tooling experience for GUI and server applications.
