Staff Engineer, AI-Assisted Engineering Practices

Responsibilities
- Apply AI-assisted development techniques such as code generation, test creation, static analysis, and dependency refactoring to product and platform challenges.
- Partner with product engineers, DevOps, and the Development Platform team to integrate AI-driven workflows into existing systems and processes.
- Translate successful techniques into reusable platform services, SDKs, and frameworks for organization-wide adoption.
- Support high-impact initiatives such as codebase modernization, performance refactoring, and CI/CD workflow automation.
- Mentor engineers on effective and responsible use of AI in everyday development.
- Shape technical strategy for integrating AI into the developer platform, engineering practices, and product delivery roadmap.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including technical leadership across squads or groups.
- Strong hands-on coding skills and experience delivering production systems across complex codebases.
- Backend or full-stack expertise with technologies such as Node.js, Kotlin, Java, Python, or Go, or frontend/mobile expertise with React, TypeScript, Next.js, React Native, Swift, or Kotlin/Android.
- Demonstrated experience using AI tools for code generation or review, automated test authoring and analysis, intelligent refactoring, code quality tooling, or workflow orchestration with LangChain, MCP, or similar pipelines.
- Experience with CI/CD workflows, cloud infrastructure, and developer platform tooling, including AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes.
- Ability to set and elevate standards for system design, code quality, and operational excellence.
- Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and peer-influencing skills.
