Responsibilities
- Assist FPGA designers in creating, maintaining, and enhancing internal software tools.
- Create, maintain, and enhance test and verification suites for internal tools.
- Create and maintain documentation and requirements for tools.
- Follow departmental practices and coding guidelines.
- Provide input and support to individuals outside the FPGA team.
- Share lessons learned and contribute to team knowledge.
- Participate in educational events, training, and continuous innovation initiatives.
- Track assigned work and complete other tasks as directed by the manager.
Requirements
- Strong Python software coding skills and experience with Flask.
- Knowledge of software design patterns and frontend web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Angular.ts and relational database management systems, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or advanced degree program in engineering at an accredited university.
- Current enrollment and good standing in a university co-op program.
- Ability to complete a 16-month co-op term beginning May 2026.
- Ability to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods Program approval.
- Familiarity with Linux, C/C++, VHDL, and software verification is desirable.
- Strong communication, presentation, problem-solving, collaboration, and performance-improvement abilities are desirable.
