Responsibilities
- Assist FPGA designers in creating, maintaining, and enhancing internal software tools.
- Create, maintain, and enhance test and verification suites for internal tools.
- Create and maintain documentation and tool requirements.
- Follow departmental practices and coding guidelines while providing support to teams outside the FPGA group.
- Share lessons learned, participate in training and educational events, and contribute to innovation initiatives.
- Track assigned tasks and complete other duties as directed by the manager.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in a bachelor's or advanced engineering degree program through an accredited university co-op program and remain in good standing.
- Be able to complete a 16-month co-op term beginning May 2027.
- Have Python software coding experience and experience with Flask.
- Understand software design patterns, frontend web development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript or TypeScript, Angular, and relational database management systems, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Have familiarity with Linux, C/C++, VHDL, and software verification.
- Demonstrate communication, presentation, problem-solving, performance-improvement, collaboration, and self-starting skills.
- Be able to obtain Canadian Controlled Goods Program authorization.
