Responsibilities
- Perform security testing of web, Android, and iOS applications to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams from feature design through implementation to integrate secure SDLC practices.
- Develop attack scenarios, define threat landscapes, and identify platform-wide vulnerabilities across the product lifecycle.
- Provide actionable remediation guidance and implement solutions that strengthen JioStar’s security posture.
- Conduct manual and automated security assessments using security tools.
- Champion security-first engineering practices and influence product and technical decision-making.
- Stay current with evolving technologies, platforms, frameworks, and security approaches.
- Automate vulnerability detection and deliver assigned work independently within defined timelines.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of security vulnerabilities beyond the OWASP Top 10.
- Experience assessing web applications and Android and iOS mobile applications in microservice architectures.
- Experience with manual and automated security assessments and security tools.
- Understanding of common product flows such as payment gateway integration and authentication.
- Ability to understand how applications are built and identify root causes of application or system behavior.
- Knowledge of Python, Java, PHP, C, C++, SQL, JavaScript, Ruby, NodeJS, or Go is a plus.
- Passion for security, practical judgment, curiosity, self-motivation, and comfort working with product and engineering teams.
- Contributions to the security community are a plus.
