Responsibilities
- Architect and scale backend systems supporting high-throughput LLM interactions, vector search, and multi-agent orchestration
- Integrate AI infrastructure across model providers, data stores, and internal APIs
- Own reliability and observability
- Evolve PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, and job orchestration systems
- Prototype retrieval pipelines, caching layers, and asynchronous task queues
- Contribute to product decisions and shape engineering culture
Requirements
- Based in NYC and able to work in person five days per week
- Experience leading projects end to end
- Product-minded approach and interest in contributing to product decisions
- Proficiency with Next.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL
- Interest in AI infrastructure and systems design
- Experience with retrieval, embeddings, prompt orchestration, internal infrastructure, or startup developer tools is a bonus
