Base Salary
$175k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage technical objectives and provide technical leadership while maintaining hands-on software development.
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable, and efficient data pipelines.
- Develop complex Python software and AI/ML systems.
- Make architectural decisions and apply software design principles.
- Mentor junior team members and conduct code reviews.
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders across WorldQuant.
- Work as part of a business-facing technology organization supporting firmwide platforms and tooling.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field from a top-tier institution.
- At least 7 years of experience as a Python developer, focused on data engineering and AI/ML systems.
- Expert knowledge of Python and its ecosystem, including Pandas, NumPy, and PySpark.
- Experience designing and implementing scalable data pipelines.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Expertise with Git, CI/CD practices, and agile methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with PyTorch, scikit-learn, LLMs, agents, or systems of agents is a significant plus.
- Finance industry experience is a plus but is not required.
