Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and architecture of comprehensive New Relic observability solutions for strategic customers.
- Design and implement automated deployment and configuration using Terraform, Ansible, Python, Go, Shell, and CI/CD workflows.
- Integrate observability into customer platform engineering, automation, internal developer platform, and delivery processes.
- Advise on APM, infrastructure monitoring, log management, data correlation, instrumentation, data ingestion, performance, and platform configuration.
- Lead technical workshops and design sessions with customer architects, engineers, and leadership.
- Create technical documentation, blueprints, training, and knowledge-transfer materials for customer and internal teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in technical consulting, solutions architecture, or senior engineering focused on cloud and application performance technologies.
- Extensive experience building and maintaining automated, self-service infrastructure and delivery pipelines using platform engineering practices.
- Deep expertise in automation, scripting, CI/CD practices, and related tools.
- Strong observability knowledge and practical experience with observability concepts and products such as New Relic, Datadog, and Dynatrace.
- Hands-on experience designing and deploying solutions on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is highly valued.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior technical stakeholders and drive consensus on complex architectures.
