$170k - $265k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build security-critical AI agents that automate Starshield network and systems defense.
- Use AI to discover and fix security issues in Starshield infrastructure and systems.
- Guide and test AI integrations across new and existing Starshield systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve security through automation and AI.
- Maintain production systems and improve security posture through implementation and recommendations to engineering teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline and 5+ years of professional security software development experience, or 7+ years of professional security software development experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with one or more software development languages, including Python, C++, or Golang.
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure.
- Experience designing and implementing solutions with LLMs, LLM-based agents, or other AI technologies.
- Preferred experience with cryptography, authentication, network security, operating system security, autonomous agents, LLM deployment, and complex-system security improvements.
- Preferred experience red-teaming or penetration-testing LLMs for prompt injection, jailbreaking, and data exfiltration.
- Preferred advanced technical or engineering degree and active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance and meet applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Benefits
- Base salary range is $170,000 to $265,000 annually, with potential stock or long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and an employee stock purchase plan.
