Base Salary
$151k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build platform systems that help application developers deliver faster and more reliable software.
- Build tools, services, and automation to extend platform capabilities.
- Operate critical ingestion, analytics, and storage infrastructure.
- Collaborate with product managers to define strategic solutions.
- Improve application performance, durability, and security in production.
- Develop server-side code and backend database architecture in Node.js.
- Participate in design, coding, testing, and production release activities.
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code and research technologies for current and future projects.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- At least 3 years of Node.js experience.
- At least 1 year of NestJS experience is preferred.
- Strong skills in JavaScript, ES6, Temporal, Node.js, TypeORM, MySQL, and Git.
- Knowledge of Jest and Redis.
- Experience building with AWS.
- Terraform, Elasticsearch, and Snowflake experience is nice to have.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience building real-world web applications and owning complete features or products.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, algorithms, network protocols, and web services.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, negotiation, and adaptability skills.
- Previous startup or scaling experience and bilingual English-Spanish ability are pluses.
