Base Salary

$151k - $205k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect and build platform systems that help application developers deliver faster and more reliable software.
  • Build tools, services, and automation to extend platform capabilities.
  • Operate critical ingestion, analytics, and storage infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with product managers to define strategic solutions.
  • Improve application performance, durability, and security in production.
  • Develop server-side code and backend database architecture in Node.js.
  • Participate in design, coding, testing, and production release activities.
  • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code and research technologies for current and future projects.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
  • At least 3 years of Node.js experience.
  • At least 1 year of NestJS experience is preferred.
  • Strong skills in JavaScript, ES6, Temporal, Node.js, TypeORM, MySQL, and Git.
  • Knowledge of Jest and Redis.
  • Experience building with AWS.
  • Terraform, Elasticsearch, and Snowflake experience is nice to have.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience building real-world web applications and owning complete features or products.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming, algorithms, network protocols, and web services.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, negotiation, and adaptability skills.
  • Previous startup or scaling experience and bilingual English-Spanish ability are pluses.
