Base Salary
$151k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build platform systems for application developers.
- Develop tools, services, and automation to enhance platform capabilities.
- Manage critical operational aspects of ingestion, analytics, and storage infrastructure.
- Collaborate with product managers to define strategic solutions.
- Evaluate and improve application performance, durability, and security.
- Assist with server-side code and database architecture in NodeJS.
- Participate in design, coding, testing, and production release activities.
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.
- Deliver code in an agile team environment.
- Research and train on relevant technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
- 3+ years of experience with NodeJS.
- 1+ years of experience in NestJS preferred.
- Strong skills in Javascript, ES6, Temporal, NodeJS, TypeORM, MySQL, Git, and REST principles.
- Knowledge of Jest and Redis.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming.
- Good understanding of algorithms, network protocols, and web services.
- Experience with building in AWS.
- Familiarity with Terraform, ElasticSearch, and Snowflake is a plus.
- Self-directed and independent with experience owning complete features/products.
- Experience developing real-world web applications.
- Outstanding ability to negotiate tradeoffs between quality and speed.
- Agile development experience.
- Previous startup or scaling experience is a plus.
- Self-motivated and adaptable to changing technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field.
- Strong communication skills.
- Bilingual in English & Spanish is a plus.
