Responsibilities
- Maintain and continuously improve the Python-based platform supporting quantitative researchers and trading systems.
- Develop and support server-side software and distributed message-based systems.
- Collaborate with traders, quantitative researchers, and strategy developers to facilitate new trading behaviors.
- Work with large datasets to establish and maintain production-quality data pipelines.
- Participate in the deployment and maintenance of production software.
- Identify process improvements and propose novel technical solutions.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or another science or technical field.
- Experience with distributed message-based systems and server-side software development, including proven product delivery success.
- Experience with Python and the Python scientific stack.
- Experience across the full software development life cycle and exposure to agile software development.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, self-management, adaptability, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Preferred: knowledge of finance and trading concepts, Linux and Windows, UI/UX design, web services and development frameworks.
- Preferred: experience with Java, C#, statistics, source control, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, relational databases, or NoSQL databases.
