Responsibilities
- Design and develop proprietary solutions for equity direct-indexing portfolio management teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain services and APIs supporting business needs.
- Build scalable, distributed next-generation services across on-premises systems and AWS cloud-native microservices.
- Ensure software solutions remain integrated, efficient, and appropriate for a highly regulated industry.
- Create unit, integration, functional, and performance tests.
- Conduct code reviews and share knowledge and ideas to improve team processes and productivity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related area of study.
- At least 7 years of experience working on large-scale software development and deployment.
- At least 4 years of hands-on Java/J2EE software design and development experience.
- Cloud-native development experience, with AWS preferred.
- Strong knowledge of efficient data structures, algorithms, relational databases, and SQL.
- Working knowledge of NoSQL database engines such as Redis, Cassandra, or MongoDB.
- Ability to become a subject matter expert, collaborate across diverse teams, and communicate effectively with business users and developers.
- Familiarity with AI and related technologies and the ability to apply them in a business or technical context.
- C# and React experience are preferred.
- Financial services industry experience is a plus.
