Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, scalable, and highly performant backend microservices and APIs.
- Own the maintenance and evolution of key service domains, including reliability, performance, and alignment with technical strategy.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and game teams to turn complex requirements into technical deliverables and milestones.
- Optimize infrastructure and runtime costs while maintaining a seamless player experience and operational efficiency.
- Reduce technical debt through refactoring, workflow automation, and legacy-system modernization.
Requirements
- 3–8 years of experience designing and building backend systems and microservices using Go or Java.
- Strong understanding of HTTP, gRPC, and API design best practices.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, schema design, and query optimization.
- Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or ArgoCD.
- Understanding of distributed systems and microservice design patterns.
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks.
- Knowledge of OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, JWT, secure coding practices, and compliance frameworks such as GDPR and SOC 2.
- Experience with performance profiling, load testing, and bottleneck analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, and product-oriented problem-solving skills.
- Passion for gaming and experience with online service platforms or backend systems for AAA games are preferred; hands-on Go microservices experience is a bonus.
