Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities
- Identify, prioritize, and execute software development life cycle tasks.
- Work with business stakeholders to iterate on software requirements.
- Develop clean, efficient tools and applications using Java and related technologies.
- Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
- Analyze and debug systems and improve product performance.
- Perform validation and verification testing using a test-driven approach.
- Review colleagues’ work and participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
- Keep software current with the latest technologies.
Requirements
- Experience writing clean, scalable Java code.
- Experience with Spring Boot, relational databases, and RESTful API endpoints.
- Working knowledge of test-driven development and automated testing frameworks.
- Proficiency with Git and system or performance monitoring tools.
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science or a related degree.
- Strong organization, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and self-direction skills.
- Preferred experience includes UI development, React, Selenium, cloud services, Docker, Kubernetes, Istio, Ansible, Jenkins, Linux, IP networking, AWS, Azure, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SaaS products, service-oriented architecture, scripting, production on-call work, and mentoring.
- Generative AI code assistant experience and knowledge of current generative AI model capabilities are assets.
