Responsibilities
- Lead the development and evolution of the Fingerprint Android PRO SDK, including detection signals, performance, stability, and reliability improvements.
- Maintain and advance the Fingerprint Android OSS SDK and Showcase App.
- Build features and implement Figma-designed UI screens for the Fingerprint Device Intelligence Demo App using Jetpack Compose.
- Provide technical expertise to product and analytics teams, including analysis of Android market data using internal tools and the data warehouse.
- Research and prototype methodologies that improve fraud prevention capabilities, efficiency, and technical differentiation.
- Analyze collected data after deployment and collaborate on server-side logic and detection-system improvements.
- Work cross-functionally with backend engineers, product managers, data analysts, and security researchers to deliver features end to end.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on Android development experience in a senior-level capacity.
- Strong Information Security background and experience with security-focused organizations or products.
- Demonstrated ability to build native Android applications and SDKs from the ground up.
- Deep understanding of Android internals and system behavior.
- Proficiency in Kotlin and the Android SDK, including hands-on Jetpack Compose experience.
- Experience with C++.
- Experience building tools for other developers is a plus.
- Comfort working with product and data teams and using data-informed approaches.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for a remote-first, asynchronous team.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, obfuscation techniques, low-level Android security, open-source contributions, backend development, or InfoSec community engagement is desirable.
