Base Salary
$196k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and ship features across native iOS and Android codebases.
- Translate product requirements into platform-idiomatic implementations on both platforms.
- Maintain architecture, performance, and app-size standards across both applications.
- Evaluate shared client contracts, schemas, logging, and testing frameworks to prevent platform drift.
- Own features end-to-end and make or escalate technical decisions appropriately.
- Partner with design and product to turn ambiguous requirements into concrete implementations.
- Support other engineers through pairing and code review.
- Participate in technical reviews and architecture discussions spanning both platforms.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Deep, current, hands-on expertise with native iOS development using Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
- Deep, current, hands-on expertise with native Android development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
- Experience independently shipping medium-to-large complexity features on either platform and reasoning about the other platform’s code.
- Experience maintaining two independent native codebases coherently at scale.
- Experience partnering with design and product on ambiguous requirements.
- Ability to own features end-to-end and exercise sound technical judgment.
- Comfort working with fully native development rather than relying on React Native or Flutter.
