Base Salary
$209k - $286k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems for regulatory and risk-management needs.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture, technology direction, platform roadmaps, and shared-services strategy.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, product leaders, and cross-functional partners to deliver robust cloud-based solutions.
- Use Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS tools and services.
- Mentor engineers, contribute to technology communities, and drive professional development, coding standards, design patterns, and technical initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience, excluding internship experience.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred qualifications include a master's degree, 9 or more years coding with multiple listed languages, and experience with open-source frameworks, front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, APIs, databases, and cloud technologies.
- Preferred experience includes CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, cloud troubleshooting, observability, reliability practices, and distributed-system performance optimization.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring senior engineers, leading architectural design reviews, influencing enterprise-wide standards and technology strategy, and leading cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, IDE copilots, and interactive AI tooling beyond basic code completion.
