Base Salary
$108k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and maintain Databricks and/or Syntasa platforms across multiple AWS VPC deployments.
- Manage users, workgroups, compute pools, clusters, permissions, JSON configurations, AWS resources, S3 buckets, IAM roles, and policies.
- Develop and maintain Bash and/or Python scripts for platform administration, configuration management, reporting, monitoring, and repetitive-task automation.
- Troubleshoot platform, access, and resource issues while maintaining configuration baselines, SOPs, technical documentation, and change control.
- Develop service metrics, resource utilization monitoring, performance reporting, and operational dashboards.
- Apply DevSecOps, secure configuration management, version control, and cloud security practices.
- Support Agile delivery, technical issue resolution, continuous platform improvements, and a globally distributed community of users and data scientists.
- Complete on-the-job training to develop Databricks, Syntasa, AWS, and customer-specific administration expertise.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required per contract.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 8–12 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and the ability to successfully pass a polygraph examination.
- Hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, REST APIs, Python, Pandas, Boto3, PySpark, MLOps, Java, C++, Amazon RDS, Linux, and Git.
- Experience developing and maintaining Bash and/or Python automation scripts and administering, configuring, maintaining, or troubleshooting COTS applications or enterprise platforms.
- Experience with AWS, including S3, IAM policies, VPC environments, cloud resource administration, user provisioning, access controls, permissions, and configuration management.
- Experience creating and validating JSON configuration files and maintaining technical documentation.
- Understanding of DevSecOps principles, secure system administration, and software or infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment and supporting geographically distributed users and stakeholders.
- Must have or be willing to obtain within six months Security+ CE or a higher DoD 8570/8140 certification.
- Preferred qualifications include Databricks or Syntasa administration, multi-environment AWS architectures, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, Jira, and cloud security practices.
