Responsibilities
- Build platform-level primitives for service provisioning, deployment, workflow orchestration, and service ownership.
- Develop shared abstractions and best practices for durable, long-running workflows.
- Design a declarative service configuration framework for provisioning, deploying, and operating backend services.
- Define service ownership contracts and build a service catalogue to improve incident resolution.
- Create developer experiences and production systems that enable engineering teams to ship resilient services.
- Participate in technical interviews and an onsite project as part of the hiring process.
Requirements
- Experience building internal developer platforms, service frameworks, or infrastructure abstractions used by other engineers.
- Extensive experience with Temporal, durable workflow engines, or similar orchestration systems, including strong opinions on best practices.
- Strong focus on developer experience, simplicity, and correctness by default.
- Experience with deployment tooling, CI/CD pipelines, or service mesh architectures.
- Understanding of the tradeoffs between microservice and monolith architectures and the ability to guide pragmatic service decomposition.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience shipping production systems.
