Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design and ship 3D engine systems for avatar and environment geometry, including mesh processing, level of detail, transcoding, streaming, and runtime loading.
- Partner with Rendering, Avatar, Studio, and external developer teams to ensure features are usable in Roblox experiences.
- Profile and improve game-engine performance across devices, especially mobile devices.
- Drive projects from definition through implementation, rollout, and production impact.
- Mentor engineers and help maintain high standards for technical quality and code health.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience building and shipping high-performance systems in game engines, real-time simulation, robotics, AR/VR, or similar domains.
- Deep proficiency in C++ and experience writing clean, efficient, maintainable code in large codebases.
- Hands-on production experience with real-time 3D rendering, mesh or geometry processing, level of detail, animation/skinning, spatial data, 3D asset pipelines, or GPU/client performance.
- Experience balancing CPU/GPU time, memory, loading latency, visual quality, and frame-time stability on constrained platforms such as mobile or console.
- Demonstrated ability to drive ambiguous work end to end, including defining approaches, implementing solutions, rolling them out, and managing production consequences.
- Ability to collaborate across teams and explain complex technical topics to different audiences.
