Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Own the technical strategy and architectural direction for a business-critical AI-powered advertising initiative.
- Design, develop, launch, and maintain scalable end-to-end services and platforms from the ground up.
- Translate ambiguous business problems into system architectures and make foundational technical decisions.
- Partner with Principal Engineers, Scientists, product, and engineering teams to define the roadmap and deliver integrated solutions.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies, including agentic AI models, to enable new advertising capabilities.
- Mentor engineers, establish engineering best practices, and raise the team’s technical bar.
- Contribute hands-on through coding, prototyping, refactoring, design reviews, and architecture discussions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with one or more software programming languages.
- At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, technical lead, or engineering team lead.
- Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

- The listed base salary varies by location: $168,100–$227,400 in Seattle, $184,900–$250,200 in New York, and $193,300–$261,500 in Palo Alto.
