Base Salary
$144k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Embed directly within customer engineering teams and understand their business processes, architectures, and operational constraints.
- Translate customer requirements into technical designs for AI-enabled production systems.
- Design and develop production AI applications, including retrieval pipelines, workflow automation, API orchestration layers, and data integrations.
- Integrate foundation models, customer data sources, and existing applications into cohesive AI experiences optimized for latency, reliability, and cost.
- Contribute across scoping, design, coding, testing, deployment, operations, and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot production incidents across AI models, distributed systems, and application services and resolve root causes.
- Implement monitoring, evaluations, guardrails, and CI/CD practices to maintain healthy AI systems.
- Mentor and train new team members and provide meaningful code review feedback.
- Create reusable patterns and accelerators, improve team software and processes, and identify opportunities to expand customer AI adoption.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in an Agile, startup, or rapidly scaling environment.
- Experience communicating technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with agentic and spec-driven development; experience developing AI agents is a plus.
- Experience with AI tools, evaluation frameworks, agent tooling, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and prompt engineering.
- Current, active US Government TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph.
- Preferred experience with AWS services and customer production environments.
- Preferred experience building or deploying AI/ML applications in production.
- Preferred background as a founder, engineering lead, or startup builder with high ownership and urgency.
- Preferred experience with React, TypeScript, Python, or Go.
- Preferred experience interfacing with customers, leading technical projects with external stakeholders, and scaling end-to-end production systems.
