Responsibilities
- Architect and oversee complex machine learning pipelines for logistics applications.
- Implement, launch, and continuously improve performant and efficient Data Science applications.
- Manage real-time and batch inference systems supporting predictive platforms.
- Design, deploy, maintain, and optimize scalable models and services in production.
- Provide technical leadership and shape machine learning and engineering best practices across the organization.
- Lead the integration of new technologies and tools into the infrastructure.
- Collaborate with Data Science and cross-functional teams on model deployment, optimization, and long-term solutions.
- Translate complex machine learning concepts into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
- Expert-level proficiency with cloud technologies, ideally AWS.
- Extensive experience with containerization and orchestration, preferably Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of software development, DevOps, and MLOps best practices applied in production.
- Extensive experience designing, deploying, and maintaining scalable production models and services.
- Strong understanding of machine learning and close collaboration with Data Scientists on model deployment and optimization.
- Experience with MLflow and with Airflow or Dagster for ML pipeline and workflow orchestration.
- Significant experience with Data Engineering, Kafka, and stream processing technologies.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; additional programming languages are a strong plus.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, technical leadership, and long-term solution development abilities.
