Responsibilities
- Own assigned Salesforce and software development work as part of the software engineering team.
- Design, develop, test, implement, and support software solutions while helping deliver projects on time, within budget, and within scope.
- Translate functional, non-functional, and implied requirements into designs and code while identifying risks, gaps, and deficiencies.
- Develop and support integrations among applications, databases, third-party products, and existing infrastructure.
- Identify system problems and restore services in partnership with Operations.
- Apply testing strategies and tools that balance quality, cost, and implementation timelines.
- Write technical requirements and documentation, share knowledge, and contribute to engineering team effectiveness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
- At least three years of experience developing web-based applications and web services using Java, REST, and other web technologies.
- At least two years of experience with software development, Java including Spring and Apex, and JavaScript including Node.js, React, and Angular.
- Experience interfacing with databases and integrating third-party products with existing infrastructure.
- Understanding of software development processes, design patterns, system decomposition, security, fault tolerance, software-as-a-service, and designing for scale, reliability, and cost in public cloud environments.
- Ability to use data and metrics to analyze key performance indicators and create designs meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
- Preferred experience with IntelliJ, VS Code, JIRA, Git, Agile/Scrum project development, IDM/OSSO, Hibernate/Seam, Banner, J2EE, Java EE, SQL, legacy-system integration, cloud-native development, cloud migration or refactoring, AWS, and technical certifications.
