Responsibilities
- Design, document, build, administer, and support production HQOTM MPE nodes.
- Develop, maintain, and integrate software components, applications, and interfacing systems.
- Automate application installation, customisation, and system configuration activities.
- Support Linux configuration compliance, patch management, software lists, and technical baselines.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, BLIs, training materials, technical documentation, and configuration control artefacts.
- Provide technical advice aligned with broader business and capability requirements.
Requirements
- Extensive software development experience across Windows-based virtual environments and Linux-based systems.
- Experience developing software for Linux operating systems, including customising, administering, and hardening Linux servers and applications.
- Experience automating and scripting application installation, customisation, and configuration activities.
- Experience developing and maintaining Linux standard operating environment images, technical documentation, and system support artefacts.
- Exposure to DevOps methodologies.
- AGSVA Security Clearance must be held and maintained as required by the Commonwealth.
- Experience with deployable communication and information systems, systems engineering processes, the Defence Capability Lifecycle, agile project management, Ansible scripting, OpenStack, or Windows SOE development is highly regarded.
- ITAR compliance may be required in some cases.
