Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, and enhance high-quality software in accordance with established standards and best practices.
- Participate in sprint planning, estimation, development, reviews, and other software development activities.
- Contribute to software design, task decomposition, and effort estimation.
- Develop and execute unit and system tests to assess software quality and performance.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with developers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver effective software solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve development processes, tools, and practices while complying with security and quality requirements.
Requirements
- Strong experience in software development or a similar role.
- Strong experience developing applications using C# and WPF.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design.
- Experience with unit testing and delivering high-quality, maintainable code.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organisational, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Azure DevOps or TFS, Git, and Microsoft Visual Studio is desirable.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments is desirable.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft software development and testing ecosystem is desirable.
- Experience developing software for Defence or other secure, mission-critical environments is desirable.
- Must hold and maintain an active NV1 Defence Security Clearance or higher and comply with ITAR requirements.
