Base Salary
$200k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Translate scientific and operational requirements into delivery roadmaps from discovery through scaled production deployment.
- Embed with customer R&D teams to understand workflows and identify high-leverage applications for AI agents.
- Design, implement, iterate, and roll out production-ready integrations and end-to-end features.
- Troubleshoot and debug systems in real time while driving reliability, adoption, and customer outcomes.
- Build relationships with scientists, executives, and engineering teams and act as the customer’s technical AI contact.
- Capture customer pain points and product gaps and work with Applied AI and engineering teams to shape future capabilities.
- Partner with go-to-market and account executives on engagement scoping, success metrics, and technical pre-sales evaluations.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience shipping production-grade software.
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript and strong software engineering fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying production LLM-powered or agentic AI systems, including prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, model evaluation, and orchestration frameworks.
- Ability to reason about system architecture, debug at the infrastructure level, and independently write clean production code.
- Ability to travel 20–40% at peak times and operate independently in ambiguous environments.
- Strong problem-solving, real-time debugging, end-to-end feature ownership, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Curiosity about science and ability to learn new scientific domains quickly.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field, or equivalent demonstrated professional experience.
- Preferred experience in life sciences, pharma, biotech, or scientific R&D.
- Preferred familiarity with GxP, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11, or equivalent regulated-data compliance frameworks.
- Preferred background as a technical founder, forward-deployed engineer, or management consultant, or science degree/research experience.
