Base Salary
$164k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Become an expert in the team’s business and technical domains.
- Lead the planning, execution, and release of complex technical projects.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to solve challenging problems.
- Collaborate with engineers to improve technology and apply best practices.
- Implement step-wise migrations of existing services and applications.
- Own small to medium features or infrastructure projects from technical design through completion with limited guidance.
- Work independently across the codebase while following code-owner guidance and producing steady, maintainable progress.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with increasingly impactful accomplishments.
- Experience proposing, experimenting with, and iterating on technologies and technical approaches.
- Experience making technical contributions and building fault-tolerant, scalable software systems.
- Solid understanding of the practical application of computer science concepts.
- Ability to consistently write stable, correct, modular, adaptable, and maintainable code with limited oversight.
- Bonus: expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, and/or Golang.
- Bonus: experience building consumer-facing products at scale.
- Bonus: prior experience at a health technology company.
