Base Salary
$174k - $274k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and delivery of the team’s largest and most complex problems.
- Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects and determine approaches for large initiatives.
- Address complex architecture challenges and apply architectural standards to new projects.
- Raise technical standards across Atlassian and evangelize engineering excellence.
- Partner with engineering teams on company-wide initiatives spanning multiple projects.
- Share deep technical knowledge and engineering best practices.
- Mentor and develop the next generation of technical leaders.
Requirements
- 10+ years of full-stack development experience with one or more prominent languages or frameworks such as Java, Scala, Node, JavaScript, or React.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree, preferably in computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Deep experience in systems engineering at scale, including testing, reliability, security, and observability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience collaborating with and mentoring junior team members.
- Ability to consider customer impact when making technical decisions.
- Familiarity with A/B testing techniques.
