Base Salary
$157k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and productionize multi-step LLM agents with retrieval and structured response generation.
- Own and build platform components for UI, orchestration, routing, memory, training-ground, and evaluation frameworks.
- Evaluate and integrate techniques including tool use, planning, retrieval, evaluation frameworks, fine-tuning, and prompt optimization.
- Improve system quality through evaluations, error analysis, feedback loops, and measurable remediation.
- Build observable, robust, scalable production code and contribute to standards for agent design, evaluation, and safe deployment.
- Partner with quant research, product, engineering, vendors, startups, and internal teams to onboard agent workflows in a federated manner.
- Promote enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices, secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and reusable engineering patterns.
- Lead evaluation sessions that assess architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability to existing systems.
Requirements
- Formal software engineering training or certification and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, or related experience.
- Strong Python coding skills and comfort owning production code.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, ECS, and Bedrock.
- Required experience with an agentic development toolkit, such as Google ADK.
- Experience building with LLMs, including agent frameworks, tool use, RAG, prompt engineering, and evaluations.
- Familiarity with evaluation frameworks, LLM observability, or fine-tuning open-weight models.
- Strong understanding of modern GenAI capabilities, failure modes, and practical mitigation strategies.
- Preferred experience with OpenSearch, vector databases, and Postgres.
- Ability to take ownership, improve broken systems, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
