Base Salary
$165k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Scale and optimize database infrastructure for performance and reliability, beginning with PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora
- Design and implement monitoring, tuning, and scaling strategies for the SaaS platform
- Build automation and tooling for consistent and repeatable database management
- Lead optimization initiatives that improve system health and uptime
- Expand into broader SRE responsibilities and help shape the company’s infrastructure and reliability culture
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or database administration roles
- Deep expertise in PostgreSQL and Amazon Aurora managing production workloads at scale
- Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js, with comfort working near application code
- Strong background in highly available and scalable database design and operations
- Ability to optimize database performance, resolve complex issues, and enforce best practices
- Solid engineering foundation and interest in building reliable systems
- Bonus: experience with Terraform or Terragrunt
- Bonus: familiarity with Prisma or other ORM frameworks
- Bonus: experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Bonus: exposure to Redshift or other data warehouse technologies
