Base Salary
$229k - $310k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and build new internal AI systems end to end from initial design through production.
- Own retrieval quality, permissions, security, and reliability for trustworthy AI at company scale.
- Work hands-on with LLMs, retrieval, agents, and integrations.
- Embed with teams across the company to ship AI into real workflows and establish durable systems and ownership.
- Lead build-versus-buy evaluations and rapid proofs of concept, committing to promising approaches and discontinuing weak ones.
- Work directly with executive leadership on systems that influence company decision-making.
Requirements
- Track record of building production systems at Staff+ scope, including data infrastructure, retrieval, or applied AI used daily by hundreds to thousands of people.
- Hands-on depth with the modern AI stack and experience learning from failures of AI systems in production.
- Pragmatic technology judgment and the ability to defend technology choices.
- Founding-engineer, consulting, or forward-deployed experience with ownership of outcomes in another team's domain.
- Daily working experience with AI tools and agents as systems to build with and build for.
- Ability to ship rapidly while maintaining trustworthy technical standards and communicate effectively with executive leadership.
