Base Salary
$121k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and support new or revised enterprise application systems and programs.
- Lead feasibility analysis, estimation, application design, construction, testing, implementation, and post-implementation support.
- Develop secure enterprise APIs and backend services using Java and the Spring ecosystem.
- Optimize Oracle database queries, indexes, and application performance.
- Build and maintain cloud-native deployments and CI/CD pipelines using Docker and OpenShift or Kubernetes.
- Work with messaging and streaming platforms and enterprise integration patterns.
- Apply secure coding practices, vulnerability scanning, and enterprise security controls.
- Advise stakeholders, assess risks, define operating standards, and support compliance requirements.
- Lead technical initiatives and mentor new or lower-level analysts and developers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 6–10+ years of professional software development experience focused on backend Java development in an enterprise environment.
- Deep knowledge of Core Java, including modern language features, multithreading, concurrency, and memory management.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring Security, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Core.
- Strong Oracle Database skills, including indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience designing and securing enterprise APIs.
- Practical experience with Docker, OpenShift or Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka or IBM MQ and microservices integration patterns.
- Understanding of enterprise security controls, vulnerability scanning, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with JUnit and Mockito and a strong commitment to software quality.
- Proven experience leading technical initiatives, designing system components, and mentoring developers.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Financial services experience, GitHub Copilot or Devin experience, and React or Angular familiarity are preferred.
Benefits
- Full-time position with a stated base salary range of $120,800.00–$170,800.00.
