Responsibilities
- Develop security-oriented language features for C/C++ in the Clang compiler.
- Improve security features in Clang to protect Apple platforms from classes of vulnerabilities.
- Take language features from concept and implementation through deployment.
- Collaborate with security engineers and operating system engineers across Apple.
- Contribute actively to the Clang/LLVM open-source project and interact with open-source and programming-language communities.
- Provide or participate in software architectural review, technical guidance, and mentorship.
Requirements
- Expertise in compiler design and implementation.
- Ability to write secure, high-performing code with C/C++.
- Knowledge of memory safety and security.
- B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: experience working across organizational boundaries.
- Preferred: knowledge of LLVM/Clang or open-source development.
- Preferred: knowledge of security mitigation and exploitation techniques.
- Preferred: passion for improving compilers and developer tools.
- Preferred: strong communication, teamwork, and user-focused decision-making skills.
