Base Salary
$194k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain foundational platform patterns, libraries, infrastructure, and core services for Honor’s Care Platform.
- Design infrastructure for AWS-hosted event-driven systems, Kubernetes containerized services, and serverless functions.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and ArgoCD, including code promotion and configuration management.
- Use Infrastructure as Code to create reproducible and scalable environments.
- Implement observability with CloudWatch and DataDog across multiple environments.
- Scale infrastructure cost-effectively while measuring and improving quality, security, scalability, and availability.
- Deliver a turnkey local developer experience and advise engineering teams on effective architectural abstractions.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to cross-functional technical strategy and platform evolution.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of professional experience on a platform engineering team within a product-centric company.
- Experience designing foundational patterns and libraries for Python applications, including API services and event processing.
- Practical experience with AWS, Kubernetes, serverless functions, distributed architectures, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD.
- Experience with Jenkins, ArgoCD, CloudWatch, and DataDog.
- Experience managing application and infrastructure lifecycles from development through production.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with RPC architecture, startup environments, or evolving platform maturity is beneficial.
- Interest in developing talent through mentorship and applying a strategic, product-first, customer-focused approach.
