Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Act as a software engineering expert and technical consultant across multiple teams and application areas.
- Establish and maintain well-engineered architecture, engineering practices, system administration processes, and technical standards.
- Identify systemic issues, technical risks, dependencies, and multiple solution options, and recommend preferred approaches.
- Mentor engineers and provide formal and informal technical direction to improve team effectiveness and cohesion.
- Improve platform availability, operational excellence, scalability, reliability, security, fault tolerance, and cost effectiveness in a public cloud environment.
- Plan and execute testing strategies that balance software quality, implementation time, and cost.
- Evaluate functional and non-functional requirements and work with product owners to address deficiencies and alternatives.
- Partner with Operations to solve platform problems at the system level and support adoption of technical and process changes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience performing the essential job functions.
- 10 years of software development experience.
- Experience with React 18 and building custom component libraries and conducting accessibility auditing.
- Experience with Python, preferably using Django and Django REST Framework.
- Experience with AWS; a Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, SQL, and AWS services.
- Expert understanding of software development processes, algorithms, complexity, security, design methodologies, system decomposition, design patterns, fault tolerance, software development life cycle models, and software as a service.
- Ability to design systems that satisfy functional and non-functional requirements and operate at scale in public cloud environments.
- Strong communication, mentoring, technical leadership, risk management, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Preferred: master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred: experience with Salesforce development lifecycle techniques and Salesforce governor limits.
- Preferred: experience with cloud-based telephony, CTI, SIP/VoIP phones and protocols, QoS, IVRs, call recording, and enterprise-level contact-center solutions.
