Base Salary
$161k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Act as a software engineering expert and technical consultant across multiple teams and application areas.
- Drive well-engineered architecture, engineering practices, system administration, and major process improvements.
- Identify systemic issues, technical risks, dependencies, and multiple solution options for teams and management.
- Mentor and provide technical direction to engineers through team meetings and problem-solving.
- Improve platform operational excellence, availability, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency in a public cloud environment.
- Plan and execute testing strategies that balance quality, implementation time, and cost.
- Analyze requirements, identify deficiencies, and collaborate with product owners on alternatives.
- Partner with Operations to resolve platform problems at the system level.
- Support technical planning for portfolios and ensure teams have the skills needed for current and future technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience performing the essential job functions.
- At least 10 years of software development experience.
- Experience with React 18, custom component libraries, and accessibility auditing.
- Experience with Python, preferably using Django and Django REST Framework.
- Experience with AWS services; AWS Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, relational databases including MySQL and PostgreSQL, and SQL.
- Expert understanding of software development processes, algorithms, complexity, security, design methodologies, system decomposition, fault tolerance, and software development life cycle models.
- Ability to design systems that satisfy functional and non-functional requirements and operate at scale in public cloud environments.
- Preferred master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred experience with Salesforce development lifecycle techniques and Salesforce governor limits.
- Preferred experience with cloud-based telephony, CTI, SIP/VoIP protocols, QoS, IVRs, call recording, and enterprise contact-center solutions.
- Strong communication, risk-management, mentoring, problem-solving, and change-management skills.
