Base Salary
$118k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance RESTful APIs and UI components for secure, scalable, maintainable enterprise applications.
- Define request/response formats and API contracts, including versioning, error handling, pagination, and validation standards.
- Develop and maintain complex application components across medium-to-large technology platforms and architectures.
- Gather and analyze business and technical requirements with internal and external stakeholders.
- Document code enhancements, application scope, functional specifications, and technical specifications.
- Code, maintain, review, test, and debug complex information-system components.
- Mentor colleagues on coding standards and conduct code reviews.
- Review test cases, advise QA on regression impacts, perform system testing, and validate fixes through unit testing.
- Coordinate integration and implementation activities with other IT departments.
- Provide on-call support, monitor systems, and identify system deficiencies.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, plus at least 3 years of experience on one platform, multi-database, multi-language, or multi-business application; equivalent combinations of education and experience are accepted.
- Preferred experience with Claude and Copilot AI tools.
- Preferred experience with API documentation standards such as OpenAPI/Swagger and API governance practices.
- Preferred familiarity with secure coding practices including OWASP, authentication and authorization patterns, and API/UI performance tuning.
- Candidates must be able to work within commuting distance of an Elevance Health office unless an accommodation is granted.
