Responsibilities
- Build Go microservices, database schemas, migrations, and API-first services for the multi-tenant k0rdent-ai platform.
- Design public REST APIs with OpenAPI and support multi-language SDKs.
- Implement durable Temporal orchestration with idempotency, retries, timeouts, and determinism.
- Build asynchronous, event-driven communication using distributed streaming or message-broker platforms.
- Implement authentication, authorization, tenant-scoped RBAC, gateway routing, rate limiting, SCIM provisioning, and Kubernetes RBAC integration.
- Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, review code, and debug incidents to root cause.
- Instrument services with structured logging, metrics, and audit trails.
- Package and ship services with Docker, Helm, and Kubernetes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated ability.
- 4–5 years of professional software engineering experience, including 2–3+ years building production backend services in Go; 4+ years of Go is preferred.
- Strong Go fundamentals, including concurrency, context propagation, error wrapping, and standard-library HTTP routing.
- Experience building and shipping REST APIs, including API versioning and backward compatibility.
- Strong relational database skills covering schema design, migrations, transactions, and query tuning.
- Experience with unit and integration testing, code review, and CI/CD such as GitHub Actions or equivalent.
- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, networking, HTTP, databases, and concurrency.
- Clear written English for design documentation, review comments, and asynchronous global collaboration.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
- Experience with multi-tenant SaaS or PaaS platforms, the k0s ecosystem, GPU infrastructure, Kubernetes AI/ML workload scheduling, SCIM, Kubernetes RBAC federation, sqlc, OpenAPI code generation, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Python, TypeScript, or CNCF open-source contributions is preferred.
