Responsibilities
- Define, execute, and improve software testing and quality assurance processes throughout the development lifecycle.
- Create test plans and design, develop, and maintain automated test cases using SQL and C#.
- Execute automated and manual testing for distributed software systems.
- Monitor quality metrics, support defect-free releases, and collaborate with developers and engineers on software quality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including applying AI technologies to test automation and quality assurance.
- Follow the standards, policies, and best practices established by Engineering’s Quality organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing.
- Experience validating and assuring the quality of distributed software systems.
- Knowledge of software engineering principles, software testing methodologies, automated build processes, and release processes.
- Experience with SQL, relational database technologies, GitHub, source control, and branch/release management workflows.
- Ability to design and write automated test cases using SQL and C#.
- Experience with Microsoft software development and collaboration tools.
- Knowledge of test automation frameworks and quality assurance practices.
- Awareness of AI technologies and their application to test automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to learn new technologies.
- Preferred experience with mining technology, machine guidance systems, industrial software, Agile environments including Scrum and Kanban, CI/CD tools, automated testing frameworks, and cloud-based development and testing environments.
