Base Salary

$174k - $223k/yr

Responsibilities

Build technical strategy and architecture for broad or complex software requirements.
Design, prototype, implement, test, and deploy scalable business-critical systems.
Lead technical planning, backlog development, design execution, and production delivery.
Own features and systems, define their long-term health, and improve surrounding systems.
Guide functional teams, coordinate engineering activities, and represent engineering in cross-functional sessions.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, support teams, operations teams, and other engineering groups.
Develop tests to ensure application quality, performance, and scalability.
Identify and resolve production issues and improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
Provide technical leadership through system design, coding, code reviews, design reviews, mentoring, and technical planning.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or experience typically obtained through the stated qualifications.
At least 8 years of relevant related experience.
At least 7 years of experience developing distributed systems, SaaS, cloud solutions, or microservices.
At least 6 years of experience with Java and Spring.
Proficiency with Maven or Gradle.
Experience delivering business-critical systems and designing scalable systems.
Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging frameworks such as Pub/Sub, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
Working experience with Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure cloud infrastructure.
Knowledge of testing, secure coding, software development lifecycle practices, and DevOps practices.
Experience with AWS-based application architecture, hands-on system design and coding, technical leadership, mentoring, and leading technical planning.
Ability to influence others and work collaboratively; background and drug screen required.

Hybrid work model for positions in Scottsdale, San Francisco, Chicago, or New York.
Base pay for San Francisco is $174,000-$223,000 per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary incentive plan.
