Responsibilities
- Participate in establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs.
- Use application development procedures, programming knowledge, and script tools to identify and define system enhancements.
- Analyze and interpret code, design programming solutions, and install and support customer-facing systems.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and recommend solutions to programming and application issues.
- Analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues and perform testing and debugging.
- Identify problems, evaluate options, implement solutions, and resolve issues with limited direct supervision.
- Serve as an advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts.
- Assess and manage technology and business risks while supporting compliance and control requirements.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry.
- Intermediate-level experience in an applications development role.
- Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in requirements.
