Responsibilities

Assist in writing and testing embedded software for autopilots, sensors, radios, and other onboard components.
Implement and support C/C++ software for real-time and bare-metal systems using microcontrollers and embedded platforms.
Integrate embedded software with hardware and debug systems using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab tools.
Collaborate with electrical, systems, and mechanical engineers on cohesive system development.
Participate in peer reviews, software documentation, and configuration management processes.
Contribute to laboratory and field testing of embedded systems for real-world mission scenarios.
Assist with prototypes and proof-of-concept demonstrations.

Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
Basic knowledge of embedded systems and microcontrollers.
Familiarity with C, C++, or Python.
Understanding of low-level software concepts such as memory management, interrupts, or device drivers.
Exposure to I2C, SPI, UART, or CAN hardware communication protocols.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, effective communication, and ability to work collaboratively.
Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with STM32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar platforms; familiarity with FreeRTOS or Zephyr; exposure to Linux-based or embedded Linux development; and experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or multimeters.
Interest in aerospace, robotics, or autonomous systems and a demonstrated curiosity and passion for learning and innovation.
Applicants must provide documentation verifying U.S. person status for ITAR/EAR compliance; some positions may require current U.S. citizenship.

Paid 12-week summer internship program conducted full-time onsite.
Relocation and housing reimbursement stipend may be available for students willing to relocate, depending on team and location.
