Base Salary
$152k - $222k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and technical direction for core SSO and identity-broker capabilities.
- Design and develop secure, scalable SSO services, identity-broker capabilities, and Python APIs.
- Define authentication, federation, identity orchestration, and cross-product integration patterns.
- Convert business and technical needs into specifications, architecture designs, acceptance criteria, and implementation plans.
- Document key technical decisions through Architecture Decision Records and maintain architectural alignment during implementation.
- Establish effective AI-assisted development practices across the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with engineering squads, product management, and platform architecture teams to guide initiatives from design through delivery.
- Raise engineering standards through design reviews, code reviews, technical guidance, and mentorship.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of related experience, master’s degree and 6+ years, or PhD and 3+ years.
- Technical leadership experience designing and delivering distributed systems, microservices, or enterprise cloud services.
- Professional experience building backend services and APIs with Python, including asynchronous programming patterns.
- Experience designing or building identity, authentication, authorization, or security capabilities.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools while maintaining security, correctness, and maintainability standards.
- Preferred experience leading complex initiatives across multiple engineering or product teams.
- Preferred knowledge of SAML, OpenID Connect, OAuth 2.0, SCIM, or WS-Federation.
- Preferred experience building REST APIs with OpenAPI specifications and code-generation workflows.
- Preferred experience with AWS, SQL, Redis, event-driven architectures, React, and TypeScript.
- Preferred experience with spec-driven development, Architecture Decision Records, and software design standards.
