Responsibilities
- Operate and evolve highly available cloud database platforms hosted in AWS.
- Contribute to scalable, resilient, and secure platform and infrastructure designs.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical challenges with experienced engineers.
- Monitor, analyze, and optimize database and platform performance.
- Automate operational processes using Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices.
- Support backup, recovery, and business continuity capabilities.
- Evaluate and introduce technologies that improve platform performance, stability, and security.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, security teams, and business stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience in database engineering, cloud platform operations, or a related infrastructure engineering discipline.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS.
- Knowledge of relational database technologies including MySQL and Aurora.
- Experience with database monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform and Ansible.
- Linux administration and scripting or programming skills, ideally Python.
- Familiarity with version control technologies such as Git.
- Knowledge of security best practices and their practical application in platform design and operations.
