Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to project teams.
- Design systems for high performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Identify and address product and system issues proactively.
- Engage with stakeholders to align architectural designs with business needs.
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance data software solutions.
- Enhance code quality through rigorous review processes and best practices.
- Solve complex technical problems with innovative strategies.
- Collaborate effectively within engineering and cross-functional teams.
- Stay updated with technology trends and enhance skills.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Build and maintain robust data platforms for analytics and machine learning.
- Develop and optimize ETL processes and data integration pipelines.
- Create extensible file processing pipelines for artifact generation.
- Craft scaleout data pipelines optimizing cost and performance.
- Troubleshoot systems and rectify bugs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant experience in backend engineering focused on big data platforms.
- 7+ years of experience with Service Oriented Architecture and Docker-based services.
- Experience in developing and maintaining large-scale, high-availability software systems.
- Demonstrated experience in leading significant software projects.
- Expertise in high-availability, high-performance distributed data processing systems.
- Experience with gRPC and Protocol Buffers for service communication.
- Ability to deliver well-crafted, tested, and maintainable code solutions.
- Familiarity with JVM-focused tech stacks, particularly Kotlin and gRPC.
- Deep expertise with relational and non-relational data stores.
- Experience delivering data platform solutions in the cloud.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture principles.
- Skilled in containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools.
- Ability to build backend systems supporting future UI/UX initiatives.
- Knowledge of system architecture and software development best practices.
- Familiarity with cloud services like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of async message or event-based dataflow architectures.
- Experience with data-intensive, distributed systems.
