Base Salary
$184k - $203k/yr
Responsibilities
- Consult with internal business groups to provide application software development services and technical support.
- Gather requirements and prepare BRDs and SRDs while applying software development lifecycle knowledge.
- Coordinate the technical design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of cross-functional, multi-platform applications.
- Analyze and document data, workflow, logical process, and system interface requirements.
- Program well-designed, testable, and efficient code and participate in code reviews.
- Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
- Troubleshoot, debug, upgrade, maintain, and enhance existing systems and platforms.
- Develop real-time data streaming, messaging, event-driven communication, REST API, microservices, and micro-frontend solutions.
- Apply security and privacy principles and ensure expected application performance levels are achieved.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business users, project managers, and other engineers to deliver solutions and promote reuse.
- Compile documentation for system procedures and use Pluralsight for professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Seven years of experience in the offered role or a related IT occupation in the financial services industry.
- Seven years of experience using Java/J2EE to create software solutions, troubleshoot technical issues, build solutions, and decompose technical problems.
- Experience implementing REST APIs and scalable microservices with Spring MVC, Hibernate, JPA, MongoDB, Spring Boot, and design patterns.
- Experience creating real-time data streaming solutions and messaging or event-driven communication with Spring Boot, Spring Batch, WebSocket, Apache Kafka, and RabbitMQ.
- Experience working with Oracle, DB2, SQL, and multiple database tools.
- Experience building micro-frontend applications for web and mobile platforms using Node.js, React, and Angular.
- Experience with Agile methodology, CI/CD, application resiliency, security, Git, Bitbucket, Splunk, JUnit, SonarQube, Jira, Maven, and Veracode.
Benefits
- Annual base salary range of $184,283.40 to $203,000.00.
- Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the Jersey City, New Jersey worksite.
- The position is full-time at 40 hours per week and is at-will.
- Total compensation may include discretionary bonuses, short- and long-term incentive packages, commission earnings where applicable, and company-sponsored benefits.
