Responsibilities
- Partner with Product and Architecture to define technical approaches for complex features and challenge requirements when better designs exist.
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex features from design through testing, deployment, and post-release health.
- Lead code reviews, establish quality standards, and provide substantive technical feedback.
- Troubleshoot cross-system production issues, identify systemic root causes, and drive remediation.
- Create and own technical design documents and make architectural trade-offs for significant features and changes.
- Mentor P2/P3 engineers, identify skill gaps, and improve team engineering practices.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for code generation, testing, code review, and analysis.
- Drive platform modernization, reduce technical debt, and contribute to engineering best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 8 years of professional experience developing SaaS/PaaS products.
- Expertise in both frontend and backend development, or deep expertise in one with strong working knowledge of the other.
- Experience with .NET Framework, .NET 8, or .NET 10 and ownership of significant .NET platform components.
- Experience with ASP.NET Core MVC, API design, and RESTful web services.
- Experience with distributed applications, service-oriented architecture, caching, asynchronous processing, queues, and topics.
- Experience designing and developing relational databases and working knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably Azure.
- Working knowledge of DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Active experience with AI-powered development tools and the ability to evaluate and adopt new tools.
- Demonstrated mentorship or technical leadership of junior engineers and ability to produce technical design documents.
- Preferred experience includes platform modernization, Entity Framework, NHibernate, Azure, NoSQL databases, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, Docker, React, Angular, observability tooling, systematic technical-debt reduction, and agile methodologies.
