Base Salary
$180k - $280k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic and other security-critical services.
- Develop security features for Starlink routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites.
- Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
- Maintain production systems and improve security through direct implementation and recommendations to other teams.
- Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline and 5+ years of professional security software development experience, or 7+ years of such experience in lieu of a degree.
- Experience with at least one software development language, including Python, C++, or Golang.
- Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure.
- Preferred experience includes security improvements for complex systems, TPMs, HSMs, network protocols, vulnerability research, and navigating complex interactive systems.
- Advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred.
- Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
- Must satisfy SpaceX ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

- Base salary range is $180,000.00-$280,000.00 for Level 3; additional long-term incentives, potential discretionary bonuses, and employee stock purchase opportunities may be available.
