Responsibilities

  • Serve as Lead Programmer for clinical data programming activities.
  • Plan and coordinate database design, development, implementation, maintenance, and user support for clinical systems.
  • Provide advanced technical expertise to internal and external clients.
  • Program, test, and document databases according to programming standards and validation procedures.
  • Program database manipulations and data transfers for internal and external clients.
  • Mentor team members and Lead Programmers in technical and database expertise.
  • Develop project solutions for CDP teams and the Clinical Data Programming department.
  • Collaborate with IT to evaluate, develop, and implement new technologies.
  • Develop, revise, and maintain operating procedures and working instructions.
  • Coordinate project milestones, timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables.
  • Maintain effective communications and working relationships with teams, coworkers, managers, and external clients.
  • Support process innovations and improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, life science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum eight years of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle, SAS, Python, and R for clinical data programming.
  • Knowledge or experience with leading technologies is an added advantage.
  • For laboratory data programming, knowledge of VGL, BizTalk, C#, and/or .NET.
  • Strong understanding of the clinical drug development process and clinical domain knowledge.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, technical, and database skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
