Responsibilities
- Serve as Lead Programmer for clinical data programming activities.
- Plan and coordinate database design, development, implementation, maintenance, and user support for clinical systems.
- Provide advanced technical expertise to internal and external clients.
- Program, test, and document databases according to programming standards and validation procedures.
- Program database manipulations and data transfers for internal and external clients.
- Mentor team members and Lead Programmers in technical and database expertise.
- Develop project solutions for CDP teams and the Clinical Data Programming department.
- Collaborate with IT to evaluate, develop, and implement new technologies.
- Develop, revise, and maintain operating procedures and working instructions.
- Coordinate project milestones, timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables.
- Maintain effective communications and working relationships with teams, coworkers, managers, and external clients.
- Support process innovations and improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, life science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Minimum eight years of relevant work experience.
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle, SAS, Python, and R for clinical data programming.
- Knowledge or experience with leading technologies is an added advantage.
- For laboratory data programming, knowledge of VGL, BizTalk, C#, and/or .NET.
- Strong understanding of the clinical drug development process and clinical domain knowledge.
- Excellent organizational, communication, technical, and database skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients.
